RiP! A Remix Manifesto opens theatrically in Canada

Hot off the heels of a killer festival run, Brett Gaylor’s film RiP! A Remix Manifesto, about copyright and content creation in the digital age, will open theatrically in select theatres across Canada this month.

From its inception, RiP! has been an open source documentary, inviting people from all over to take part in the remix. Check out what some people are doing with the film, and then give it a shot yourself.

The theatrical premiere will be in Montreal on March 6, followed by runs in Toronto (March 13), Winnipeg (March 18), Vancouver and Calgary (March 20). To mark the occasion, I had the chance to interview Brett Gaylor about the film. You can read the full interview here.

And if, by some crazy chance, you haven’t already seen the trailer…

Check Cinema Clock for screening locations and times.
