The NFB Wins 5 Webby Awards!

The 2016 Webby awards rewarded four NFB productions, including three awards for Vincent Morrisset’s Way to Go.

The winners are:

Way to Go – Webby and People’s Voice awards in the Web/NetArt category; Webby for Online Film & Video/VR: Gaming, Interactive or Real-Time

The Unknown Photographer – People’s Voice award /VR: Gaming, Interactive or Real-Time

Highrise: Universe Within – Online Film & Video/Best Use of Interactive Video

Cardboard Crash VR for Google Cardboard – Online Film & Video/VR: Gaming, Interactive or Real-time (branded)

Other notable winners include chart-topping Toronto singer The Weeknd, as well as Vice, Spotify, Netflix, The New York Times, National Geographic, AMC.com and The BBC.

The public cast more than two million votes for Webby People’s Voice Awards.

Recipients of the 20th annual Webby Awards will be honoured on May 17.
