http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ95WPHyJdk&feature=player_embedded

The NFB’s iPhone App has been nominated for a Webby Award in the category of Mobile Web/Best Use of Mobile Video and Waterlife has been nominated in 3 categories: Society/Education, Media/Movie and Film and Society/Green.

The Webbys are one of the few major awards that invite the public to participate in the voting process. This is your chance to be heard, and to ensure that your favourites win. If you like what we’re doing, please show your support and vote!

People’s Voice voting is open until April 29. You can vote by clicking on any of the links above.

Thanks!

  1. Speaking of Webby public participation, when will the NFB have a general open content project?
It would be nice to see an outlet in place for the best amateur documentary shorts by Canadians (with a good filtering process to select the better ones).

    — Max Anderson,
  2. Did anybody notice that the NFB logo is prominently visible on the new iPhone ad that runs about every 15 mins on national tv during the hockey games? Pretty good visibility, I’d say!

    — Lea Nak,
