NFB Chairperson Tom Perlmutter named Person of the Week by La Presse

The popular French Montreal daily newspaper La Presse and Radio-Canada named NFB Chairperson and Government Film Commissioner Tom Perlmutter their person of the week. Each week, La Presse features a different person who is applauded for their recent accomplishments.

As NFB Chairperson, one of Tom Perlmutter’s principal projects was the online Screening Room. La Presse states that by launching the site and making so many titles accessible to the Canadian public, the project has breathed new life into the NFB, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
