I might already have told you I’m all about young, talented people doing well for themselves. A person who doesn’t disappoint in this department is ex-Hothouser and sometime NFB animator Dale Hayward, now of La moustache. Earlier this week, Dale released this spiffy short video he made for Safewalls, a new Cirque du Soleil visual arts project.
Starting next month, Safewalls will commission 3 artists per month, in select locations, to create original alternative poster designs inspired by Cirque du Soleil shows. Here is what Dale had to say about his involvement in the project (via La moustache‘s website):
We’re very excited to be part of this art project called Safewalls. Curated by Cirque du Soleil, they have commissioned artists in different cities to re-interpret Cirque’s posters. Once the work is completed the pieces will be exhibited in a gallery show, along the way they’re filming the process, experiences, culture and putting it into a web show, that’s where we came in. They needed an intro, and we were more than happy to deliver.
