7 documentary tweeters to follow on Twitter
RiP! A Remix Manifesto , Brett Gaylor, provided by the National Film Board of Canada
One of our followers on Twitter asked me the other day who I’d recommend he follow for interesting tweets on the doc world. As I sent off my response, it occurred to me that he might not be the only one wondering. So here are my suggestions:
@cbcdocs – The CBC has Doc Zone, The Nature of Things and The Passionate Eye on its roster. This is a great follow to keep up on docs airing on all 3 programs.
@hotdocs – Hot Docs is North America’s largest documentary festival, so it makes sense that they’d have lots of great info on the doc world.
@documentaryblog – Jay Cheel and the Documentary Blog crew (Sean Dwyer and Charlotte Cook) are true lovers of documentary film. Their passion comes across loud and clear.
@cinemapolitica – Cinema Politica is a non-profit that shows independent political docs across Canada (and internationally, too).
@eyesteelfilm – Eye Steel Film is a local (Montreal) production house that produces great documentaries, like Rip! (featured above), Up the Yangtzee and Last Train Home.
@TIFF_Net – The official twitter account for the Toronto International Film Festival. Enough said.
@sundancefestnow – This is a great current follow for everything going on at the Sundance Film Festival.

If you’re in Vancouver or Victoria, I’ve got a pretty good list going on DOC BC’s feed @DOC_BC. I also put our newsletter on there.
