Updates for our iPhone and iPad apps are now available

We’ve just released updates for both our iPad and iPhone apps. The changes, outlined below, are a direct result of your feedback and suggestions. Thank you for helping us build the best apps we can.

Both the iPhone and iPad apps allow you to:

• Watch over 1000 films on your mobile device
• Save films for up to 48 hours to watch while away from a wi-fi zone
• Search the the NFB collection
• Browse our content by thematic channels
• Bookmark your favourite films

The following changes were made for the latest iPhone release:

• Brand new sleek design
• Compatible with Apple Airplay, allowing you to stream to Apple TV
• We’ve re-enabled the TV Out function, allowing you to stream audio and video to your TV
• The “Watch Later” feature loads films in the background so you can watch another film simultaneously
• You can now share your favourite films via Facebook and Twitter
• Each film is accompanied by a list of related titles, also available for streaming

The following changes were made for the latest iPad release:

• We’ve enabled the TV Out function, allowing you to stream audio and video to your TV
• You can now share your favourite films via Facebook and Twitter
• We’ve fixed various stability issues
