Photo Friday | Spring Fun and Games
As we collectively await real spring, enjoy a few fun photos from Comptines (“Rhymes,” from the NFB’s French collection,) a sweet short that follows a group of young girls singing and playing in the backstreets of Montreal in 1975.
Directed by Manon Barbeau, the film is a nostalgic foray into a world before personal screens, when kids feverishly awaited the end of winter to take over the sidewalks and alleys with their bolo bats, skipping ropes, balls and elastics.
